Jaime and I bought a new car. Not big news in itself but what we got and how we got it is. On April 28th, 2001 we were in Annapolis running errands and decided to go to the local Barnes&Noble. After browsing around I bought one book and put a couple back not wanting to spend too much. On the way home we decided to stop at the Criswell Audi dealership and look at the TT. Jaime has been in love with the car since it came out and considered it her dream car. We've been looking at cars in preparation for buying on in the fall. In the spring we looked at Volkswagons and decided we loved the Passat and hated the Beetle. Since the Passat and the Audi A4 are basically the same car it was an excuse to stop and look at Audis. We figured we would look at the TT while we were there and maybe test drive one. Who knows, we might not like it and that would put and end to dreaming about it. After looking around for a while the salesman gave us the keys and we took a drive. That was the big mistake! Once we had driven the car there was no way we would not buy one if we could swing the cost. After some negotiation and lots of paperwork we went home with the car. You can see the first pictures here Now that's an impulse purchase! It is one of the most enjoyable cars to drive that I have ever been in and I've driven everything from econo-crap to Lamborghinis.
